There are many ways to personalize a t shirt, with your name, nickname, company name, team or sports groups name or simply ‘Mom’ will do. Personalized t shirts are for anyone and everyone and can be fun to wear and fun to make if you like craft projects.

Personalized t shirts are often used around the office on ‘causal Fridays’ or when the office has a picnic or other off site gatherings where everyone wants to be comfortable, yet remain part of a team. Several more causal businesses such as restaurants, veterinarian offices, doctor offices or physical therapy centers to name a few, often have personalized t shirts for their staff so customers and clients can get to know the workers names without them having to were a name tag that may get in the way.

A personalized t shirt can have not only your name, but something of yourself on it. If you like a certain kind of car, you can personalize your t shirt with the car. Personalization doesn’t always mean a name; it can mean your likes, your style or something totally different. It’s personal to you. Many hospital workers, especially on the children’s ward, wear personalized t shirts because it brightens up the atmosphere around the hospital. Other ways to personalize your t shirts is to have a photograph imprinted on the material. This can be done through various computer ‘do-it-yourself’ sites or downloadable websites on the Internet. You can wear a personalized t shirt of your loved ones, a baby, dog or cat, your favorite singer or actor, just about anything you can take a photograph of, you can personalize a t shirt with it by putting the photograph on the front – or back – of the t shirt.

There are a number of little stores, usually set up in the malls, which offer to personalize t shirts with an air brush. They will put your likeness in a car, boat, truck, behind a desk, in a hot air balloon or something that represents you and what you do for a living or what you do as a hobby and put your name in bright brush strokes across the top. If you like to match your partner, they are accommodating as well, with matching air brushed personalized t shirts, many touting ‘I belong to [insert name here], while the other persons says your name. It’s fun to see what kind of art work the airbrushed personalized t shirt makers can come up with. Some are serious, but most are funny and capture the ‘essence’ of the person wearing the t shirt.

Personalized t shirts are becoming more and more popular as everyday wear. You don’t have to be part of a group or belong to an office to wear a personalized t shirt. Many people find these types of personalized t shirts at thrift shops and even if their name isn’t Fred, they were it anyways. It’s a fashion statement.
